Apologies to any who tried to attend our coffee morning. Due to a series of mishaps and misunderstandings it was unable to go ahead. More later.

Current Status

As we are in the middle of implementing our new services this week our members this year will not have accounts until the beginning of next week.

As soon as we do have them up and running all members will receive and email with their login information and links to short tutorials and how to use our services.

Oh and please attend our coffee morning in the UCD Computer Science building.

Welcoming Caffeine Morning

A welcoming coffee morning for Netsoc members. Please come and meet and greet :)

It will be located in the Coffee Area of the Computer Science building.

We are building 22 on the map.
Up the stairs on the right. Across the bridge. Then follow the corridor to the end.

We will be there to talk to you about what we are doing, and help you with any problems you might have.

Eircom internet suffers interruption

I took this from irishtimes.com

"DAVID LABANYI and JASON MICHAEL

Eircom has said a number of its internet customers suffered interruptions to their service last night due to an apparent attack by hackers or spammers.

The company said customers experienced “significant congestion while browsing the web” last night and said it appeared to be related to an “unprecedented volume of traffic deliberately directed” at the network.

Eircom said services have since been restored. This is the second time in recent days that the company’s services have been interrupted.

Netsoc News Update

Just a update to inform you on some updates.

As you can see the website is coming together well with quite a bit of content being added. Another thing worth noting is Netsoc is now on Twitter and Facebook make sure to add us.

If you notice any issues with the website make sure to notify us as we haven't had time to test everything yet. On another note we're currently working on a few more services to offer Netsoc members for the coming academic year, check back for updates.
